Position: Logistician I
Job Description:
- Physically locate, count, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Utilize the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) database to document material receipts/issues/disposal.
- Verify receipt/shipping documents for accuracy; identify and report material damage and discrepancies.
- Interface with customers and respond to inquiries regarding equipment status and availability.
- Research NIINs, part numbers, and manufacturer numbers to ensure items meet form, fit, and function requirements.
- Track Installation and Checkout (INCO) requests during each platform's modernization period.
- Receive, inspect, disposition, disassemble, induct, and dispose of electronic rip-outs from recently updated technical insertions for submarine support.
- Generate Material Transfer Requests (MTRs), Work Requests, shipping documents (DD1149s), return merchandise authorizations (RMAs), and disposal documents.
- Compile shipping receipts (DD1149s), MTRs, failure data, work requests, part requests, and disposal documents to cross-reference data and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain detailed records in databases and spreadsheets, ensuring all shipping documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Process fleet requisitions as required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Additional Information:
- No travel required for this position.
- Must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-paced environment.
Work Location: Newport RI, minimal-to-no telework available.
