Job Summary:

Gardiner House is seeking a dynamic, service-driven Guest Services Agent to join our team. As the first and last impression of our waterfront hotel, you will play a key role in creating warm, memorable experiences for our guests—from check-in to check-out and every thoughtful detail in between. If you take pride in genuine hospitality and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, we would love to meet you.


Key Responsibilities:

 • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures

 • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and any concerns with professionalism and efficiency

 • Promote hotel amenities and upsell services to enhance the guest experience

 • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area

 • Accurately process reservations, cancellations, payments, and guest folios

 • Assist with concierge services, including dining reservations and local recommendations

 • Collaborate closely with all hotel departments to ensure seamless guest stays

 • Consistently uphold the highest standards of hospitality and guest service


Qualifications:

 • Prior experience in hospitality, sales, or customer service is preferred

 • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail

 • Ability to remain composed and professional in a fast-paced environment

 • Comfort with handling cash and basic POS systems; familiarity with Maestro and TripleSeat is a plus

 • Knowledge of the Newport area is beneficial, but not required

 • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
