JOB PURPOSE
The facilities technician is primarily responsible for maintaining the high level of facility cleanliness that the Potter League’s patrons have come to expect. The facilities technician will achieve this by performing a wide variety of custodial tasks. This position works across all Potter League facilities and includes light groundskeeping such as lawn mowing, weed and leaf removal, and clearing and salting walkways in winter weather. The accountabilities listed below are completed on a routine daily, weekly, and monthly schedule. Not all tasks are performed every day. A valid State of Rhode Island drivers license is required for this position.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Ensure all bathrooms are clean and well stocked.
· Vacuum carpeted areas of offices.
· Empty trashcans throughout the facilities.
· Sweep and mop floors in non-animal areas.
· Clean glass, ensuring fingerprints and smudges are removed.
· Remove all cobwebs, dust, and grime from air vents throughout the facilities, including animal kennels and housing spaces.
· Assist facilities manager with projects at all properties as needed.
· Mow lawns, remove weeds and leaves, and clear snow and salt walkways as needed.
· Remove trash and debris from throughout Potter League properties.
· Washes and cleans the interior and exterior of Potter League vehicles.
· Assist with special event preparation both on and off site as needed.
Uses Potter League vehicles to transport equipment, supplies, and animals.
· Follow all safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
· Can work enthusiastically and cooperatively with all departments.
· Adheres to all Code of Conduct Standards.
· Other duties as requested.

· Can lift a minimum of 50lbs.
