Position Summary

Provides an extraordinary member and employee experience by performing a variety of general maintenance duties and offers administrative support with mail and document destruction.


Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities

General Maintenance

  • Performs daily task list which includes light maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned by Head of Facilities.
  • Inspects Credit Union grounds and facilities to ensure subcontracted cleaners and porters are completing their daily responsibilities. As well as inspecting all mechanical and water supplied areas to ensure proper function and no leaks.
  • Assists with some light snow removal during normal business hours.
  • Assesses and calls in appropriate vendors for maintenance issues when Head of Facilities is not available.
  • Escorts and oversees onsite vendors as needed, up to and including after hours’ supervision and locking up of facilities.
  • Additional departmental duties assigned as needed
  • Cleaning responsibilities: building and grounds pick up, office turnover cleaning, kitchen stocking and cleaning, carpet cleaning as needed, and other cleaning duties as needed.



Janitorial Supply Maintenance

  • Reviews and approves all branch/office, coffee, and janitorial supplies as ordered
  • Responsible for ordering facility supplies as needed, maintaining appropriate level of all supplies.
  • Keeps stock and storage areas clean and organized.



Administrative Support

  • Sorts and delivers all incoming departmental mail, prepares all outgoing mail and delivers to branch for mail carrier pickup.
  • Maintains postage machine.
  • Delivers all incoming packages and supply orders to indicated departments.
  • Performs and records all document destruction in compliance with federal and state guidelines. Maintains company owned shred machine.
  • Maintain Facilities insurance and inspection logs.
  • Departmental bill paying processing, includes opening, scanning and supplying bills to Finance.



John Clarke Road Support

  • Support additional building owned by the Credit Union currently housing tenants
  • Meet vendors when necessary for contracted work
  • Provide support to our Small Business Collective
  • Be point of contact for tenant needs as necessary
  • Assist with light snow removal during normal business hours as required

Knowledge and Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months experience
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word and email



ADA Requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to handle an active workday, some physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment.
  • Must have some working knowledge of hand tools.
  • Must be able to work occasional extended hours when required or requested by management.
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.



Working Conditions

  • Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise, as well as outside in various degrees of heat and cold.
