Nonprofit Leadership Circle: State of the Rhode Island Nonprofit Sector: Issues Impacting Nonprofits Under the Current Administration

Nancy Northrop Wolanski- Director, Alliance for Nonprofit Impact, United Way of Rhode Island

Nancy is the inaugural Director of the Alliance for Nonprofit Impact at United Way of Rhode Island, the statewide resource center for nonprofits in the Ocean State.  Nancy has spent her whole career in the nonprofit sector, with responsibilities in management, program development and oversight, leadership development, fundraising and grant writing, membership and communications. She has worked in diverse organizations, from a small community science museum to a professional trade association, to several colleges and universities. Nancy has taught Leadership Studies at Johnson & Wales University, and immediately prior to the development of the Alliance, Nancy was the Executive Director of Grantmakers Council of Rhode Island for eight years.

Free parking is available in the parking lots on either side of the building as well as on surrounding streets. Entry to Innovate Newport is via the front, Broadway facing doors. Guests may proceed through the lobby coffee shop and take the elevator or stairs to the second floor conference hall. Guests may need to check in with the Innovate Newport Community Manager. Please allow time for parking and building entry.
