The Industry Spotlight Series is a quarterly event that connects Rhode Island’s most influential business leaders, investors, innovators, and community stakeholders across high-growth sectors. For the second Industry Spotlight of the year, we are partnering with Blue Venture Forum to focus on BlueTech!

Join us for a dynamic event including networking, interactive tabling, and a pitch contest with a panel of investor judges and prizes for the winning companies!

4:30 pm - Reception & Refreshments, Exhibit Tables

5:00 pm - Welcome from Innovate Newport and "state of the industry" from Blue Venture Forum

5:15 pm - Startup Pitch Contest

6:15 - 7:15 pm - Exhibit Tables & Networking, Reception & Refreshments

Pitches:

This event will include a pitch event for select blue technology companies. If you are interested in delivering a pitch, please send your name, title, company name, website and a 2 paragraph description of your product or service to info@blueventureforum.org.

Applicants must be:

Developing a defense or dual-use technology with clear application(s) in the marine & oceanographic industry.

Beyond the prototype stage.

Focused on actively raising an investment round.

Participating investors include representatives from Angel and Venture Capital organizations. Cash prizes will be awarded. Please note that we will select 6 companies to pitch and companies that apply but are not selected may also be given the opportunity to exhibit during the event.
