On Friday, October 24th between 10:00am and 1:00pm, a small team of volunteers, comprised of elected officials and community leaders, will be visiting businesses in your area to conduct a brief interview to get your feedback on our region’s business climate.
Each interview will be 15-20 minutes long and is a conversational format. The interview team will ask questions like
- What are your challenges doing business in this area i.e. retention of workforce, housing ?
- Are there any policy changes such as local ordinances or statewide laws etc. you would like to address?
- What could be done to improve the business climate?
Our goal is to understand what is going well for businesses and what assistance might be needed to reduce barriers or resolve an issue.
The business walk is organized by the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce through its regional economic development division, Connect Greater Newport.
